Say, “Goodbye!” to Kubrick, and, “Hello!” to our new look. We’ve been working on this design for months now, and it’s still not 100% completed, but even so it represents a marked improvement over the previous theme.
We’ve also begun a new era for the site. You’ll notice we’re rebranding ourselves as the WordPress Community, and we’re expanding the coverage of our new community to more than simply The WordPress Podcast. From now on, we’ll be bringing you news, commentary and tutorials designed to help you get the most out of your WordPress experience, and we’ll augment the podcast with written blog posts, videos and coming soon, we’ll be opening up a forum for everyone to help each other and share thoughts on blogging, development and design.
There’s still a lot to be done to improve the theme and get it up to our standards, so please consider this a “public beta” period of sorts. Feel free to alert us if you find anything remiss, but please understand we’re working to correct these problems as quickly as we can.

Your comment text box extends into the sidebar so the “become a
WordPress Podcast Insider” is covering up text when typing.
Also, the title in the header jumps a bit when you mouse over. I
think it’s adding some padding or an underline, causing the tag line
to jump.
Certainly an improvement over Kubrick however! ;-)
Float the gravatars and stye the comments a bit :)
Congrats on the new design. Sure it needs work, but what doesn’t. :D Looking forward to more reat WordPress news and tips and podcasting! Great work!
Looking good! The WordPress community just gets better and better!
Enjoying the design so far, especially knowing that you did it by hand from scratch. I can tell you’re using the threaded comments in WordPress 2.7. Good luck trying to style those as I recently found out. The only thing I can suggest is to increase the font size overall in the commenting area a pixel or two.
bring on those forums baby! Will be great to hear commentary from you and Jonathan on more than just WordPress.
BTW: Noticed that the earnings page has an error.

There are likely lots and lots of errors. I’m working on them, but I appreciate people pointing out any they see, because it helps me to remember to fix them and more eyes may catch errors I’m not aware of yet.
